Green Bay’s third consecutive win brought the team’s record to 6-6. The Chiefs dropped to 8-4.

The Packers scored on their opening two possessions and restricted the Chiefs to two field goals on their first two drives for a 14-6 halftime lead. Kansas City scored to start the second half, but the Packers blocked the two-point conversion attempt to maintain their 14-12 advantage.[2]

Green Bay scored a third touchdown on a ball to WR Christian Watson despite an all-out blitz, but the Chiefs responded with another touchdown to make the score 21-19.

After the Packers scored a field goal, Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes was intercepted, resulting in another Green Bay field goal for an 8-point advantage. With little over a minute remaining, the Chiefs drove to the Green Bay 33-yard line, but Mahomes’ Hail Mary on the game’s last play went short.

QB Jordan Love led the Packers with 25-of-36 passing for 267 yards, three touchdowns, no interceptions, and a passer rating of 118.6. Watson finished the game with seven receptions for 71 yards and two touchdowns before exiting with a hamstring injury. After the first quarter, the Packers led the Chiefs 7-3.

Kansas City won the coin toss and chose to postpone. During a 13-play, 75-yard touchdown drive to begin the game, the Packers utilized all five of their receivers, three tight ends, two running backs, and had Royce Newman report eligible.

Jordan Love completed 6-of-6 throws for 45 yards, including a 7-yard slant to Dontayvion Wicks. The longest play of the series was a 19-yard toss to Christian Watson, while AJ Dillon rushed the ball seven times for 30 yards and converted an early third down.[4]

The Packers led the Chiefs 7-0 on a 1-yard throw to Ben Sims following a play-action pass on the goal line from a grouping that included Newman, Dillon, Sims, tight end Tucker Kraft, and fullback Henry Pearson.

The Packers’ longest offensive scoring drive of the season lasted 7 minutes and 47 seconds. According to Elias, the Packers became the only team in Super Bowl history to have three rookie tight ends (Luke Musgrave, Tucker Kraft, and Sims) score a touchdown throw.

At halftime, the Packers lead Kansas City 14-6.

The Packers started the second quarter with a 19-yard play-action throw to Kraft. Because James Robinson was the running back on the play, every skill-position player received an offensive snap.

Dontayvion Wicks then snagged a 27-yard touchdown from Love on a long play-action pass. On the following play, Green Bay drove into the Kansas City red zone with a 9-yard throw to Kraft.

Dillon gained nine yards on consecutive carries. With 10:39 remaining in the first half, Love’s record of nine straight completions ended with an incomplete throw to Watson on second-and-5, but he dodged pressure and fired a 9-yard TD pass to Watson to extend the Packers’ lead to 14-3.

Watson completed 10 of 11 throws for 109 yards and two touchdowns in the opening two series (147.5 passer rating).

On their second drive, the Chiefs marched down the field again, but Green Bay shut them down in the red zone.

The Chiefs progressed to the Packers’ 8 before a holding penalty on Creed Humphrey and a Preston Smith third-down sack forced Kansas City to settle for another 34-yard Butker field goal with 2:19 remaining in the first half, cutting Green Bay’s lead to 14-6.

On their third drive, the Packers converted the first down with a 9-yard throw to Watson on third-and-3, improving to 4-for-4 on third down in the first half.

Patrick Taylor, a third-year running back, broke a career-long 24-yard dash to the Kansas City 32, cutting the halftime clock to 32 seconds. Green Bay would go no farther than that, as Daniel Whelan punted with 18 seconds remaining in the half from the Packers’ 39. At the Kansas City 3, Ford downed it.

On the next series, Kansas City advanced to the Green Bay 5, where Lukas Van Ness sacked Mahomes for an eight-yard loss.

Two plays later, Kenny Clark and Rashan Gary teamed on a third-down Mahomes sack, forcing the Chiefs to settle for a Harrison Butker 34-yard ( goal, cutting Green Bay’s lead to 7-3 at the half.

After three quarters, the Packers lead the Chiefs 21-12.

The second half started with the word that Kansas City linebacker Drue Tranquill had a concussion.

Patrick Mahomes started the game with a 21-yard ball over the middle to Travis Kelce, but the Chiefs lost 15 yards back in back-to-back penalties, a holding penalty and improper motion.

To keep the drive going, Kansas City converted a third-and-18 scenario, with Mahomes stepping up and finding Kelce for 27 yards.

The Chiefs scored on a 1-yard Pacheco run but trailed 14-12 after a failed two-point convert with 9:39 remaining in the third quarter.

To begin the Packers’ fourth series, Love hit Dillon underneath for 14 yards after beginning at the Green Bay 33. Bryan Cook, a Chiefs safety, was hurt on the play and was carried to the locker room.

After an 8-yard throw to Jayden Reed, Green Bay faced fourth-and-1. Doubs glanced in a 33-yard throw from Love and held onto the ball despite a safety bearing down on him while operating off of play-action.

Kansas City converted a second-and-11, and Love had just enough time to loft a 12-yard ball up for Watson, who scored his second touchdown of the night to put the Packers up 21-12 with 5:23 remaining in the third quarter.

The Chiefs concluded the period on the Packers’ 2-yard line.

The Packers defeated Kansas City 27-19 to move to 6-6.

With 14:51 remaining in regulation, Mahomes connected with tight end Noah Gray for a 2-yard touchdown on third-and-goal to trim Green Bay’s lead to 21-19.[5]

The Packers picked up two first downs, including back-to-back throws to Watson, but the drive was halted by a delay of game penalty, forcing Green Bay to punt with 11:36 left.

However, after keeping Isiah Pacheco to a 2-yard gain on the first down, the Packer’s defence forced a three-and-out. With 10:41 remaining, Green Bay took possession at their 23.

On second-and-16, the Packers converted with a 28-yard throw to Doubs on a corner route. Green Bay then executed a 13-yard double reverse to Watson to get to the Kansas City 43.

Love connected with Malik Heath on a short stop route that the rookie receiver took upfield for 15 yards after Dillon gained 10 yards on a pull up the middle.

After Love was sacked on third down, Anders Carlson blasted a 40-yard field goal with 6:03 left to increase the Packers’ advantage to 24-19.

Following a defensive pass interference call, Kansas City pushed to the Packers’ 49, but Keisean Nixon intercepted Mahomes on a ball intended for Moore and returned it to the Packers’ 35.

Green Bay got things going with a 7-yard toss to Doubs in the flat and a 6-yard Dillon run up the middle. The Chiefs used their first timeout after a 9-yard screen to Wicks, and a Love sneak on a third-and-1 push put the ball to the KC 41.

With 3:16 left, Kansas City utilized its second timeout after Dillon gained seven yards on a first-down run. Watson gained the first down on a reversal but was wounded in the end. With 3:08 remaining, the Chiefs called their last timeout.

As the game approached the two-minute mark, two Dillon rushes for four yards pushed the ball to the Kansas City 20. Love was sacked for a 10-yard loss, but Carlson converted a 48-yard field goal with 1:09 left to increase Green Bay’s advantage to 27-19.

Kansas City began at 25 with a fair catch. Mahomes scrambled out of bounds, and the crew of referee Brad Allen penalized Owens for a late hit. After a 10-yard throw to Rashee Rice, Isiah Pacheco was dismissed.

With 5 seconds remaining, the Chiefs faced fourth-and-10 from their 33, but the Packers swatted the ball down in the end zone.
